I’m Rachel Epstein, the assistant editor at MarieClaire.com where I cover celebrity and royals news, culture, lifestyle, politics, and fashion market roundups. Since I began my role in December 2017, I’ve helped MC reach record search traffic growth while meticulously planning the site’s coverage for live events such as royal weddings and award shows.
I’m incredibly passionate about longform journalism, which led me to write and execute pieces like my exclusive interview with Donald Trump’s chief White House photographer, Shealah Craighead, and my “Why I’m Voting” package where I asked 50 influential women—from Hillary Clinton to Chrissy Teigen to AOC—why they’re voting in the 2018 midterm elections.
In September 2018, I spearheaded the launch of Marie Claire’s first-ever interactive book club, #ReadWithMC. On a monthly basis, I select books that will resonate with our audience, conduct interviews with the author-of-the-month, and set goals that increase loyalty and engagement with the brand. This is, of course, all alongside my incredible team who is just as dedicated to innovative storytelling as I am.
Prior to MarieClaire.com, I’ve held internships at HarpersBAZAAR.com and DuJour. I graduated from Florida State University in 2017 with a degree in English (Editing, Writing, & Media) and Public Relations.
