Her Campus FSU
FROM STAFF WRITER TO CONTENT EDITOR TO
Reached Pink level (the highest honor a chapter can receive) within the first semester of my eic transition spring 2015
I joined Her Campus FSU in fall 2013 as a content editor and columnist—writing about fashion, pop culture, trends, and everything in-between. In less than two years, my passion, hard work, and dedication landed me the position of Editor-in-Chief.
During the first semester of my transition, I rebranded the chapter both internally and externally, growing a team from 10 writers, editors and photographers to 50+ and increasing weekly traffic averaging from 10,000 pageviews per week to 30,000 per week.
This along with innovation, creativity, and engaging content resulted in Her Campus FSU becoming a Pink level chapter - the highest level a Her Campus chapter can receive. Throughout my leadership, the site maintained its honor as a Pink level chapter and continues to do so.
Out of 290+ chapters, achieved the #1 traffic in the nation week of March 29 - April 4, 2015
Her Campus FSU belongs to a national network comprised of over 290 chapters across the globe. During the week of March 29 - April 4, 2015, Her Campus FSU received the highest pageviews in the chapter's history (88,000+). This milestone for the chapter also became a national accomplishment when the chapter received the highest traffic in the nation.
Out of 290+ chapters, received the highest amount of incentive points fall 2015 and spring 2016
Directed all editorial content, which won both individual & chapter awards from her campus nationals
Each Her Campus chapter has the responsibility not only to remain active, but to exceed expectations by gaining as many incentive points as possible each semester. Incentive points determine each chapter's level and ultimate success within the national network.
Out of 290+ chapters, Her Campus FSU received the highest amount of incentive points under my leadership as Editor-in-Chief (1,000+, 500 more than requirement. Total = 2,168).
Key factors contributing to the incentive increase included hosting guest speakers at weekly meetings, organizing team bonding events, increasing brand awareness, planning and executing two national Her Campus Tour events on-campus, conceptualizing content, increasing traffic, growing staff size, and more.
